About me:

Joshua Ward – Owner of Controlled Chaos Studios

I’m Joshua Ward, the founder and creative force behind Controlled Chaos Studios. Before stepping into the world of sports media, I spent seven years running an Olympic weightlifting gym, coaching athletes to move better, lift stronger, and perform under pressure. That experience shaped how I see sport, the focus, discipline, and raw emotion that fuel every great story.

Over the years, I’ve worked with elite athletes, Olympians, and major sports teams, capturing the grit, energy, and personality that make them who they are. From grassroots competitors to world-class professionals, I’m constantly inspired by the moments that happen between the action, the quiet determination, the breakthroughs, and the human side of performance.

At Controlled Chaos Studios, I bring that same dedication to every project, whether it’s a cinematic sports documentary, live broadcast, or creative short-form content. My goal is to create visuals that not only look incredible but also tell authentic, powerful stories that celebrate the heart of sport.

Redefining sports content

At Controlled Chaos Studios, we do sports media differently. From cinematic sports filmmaking and dynamic photography to professional live productions, our work is built on creativity, precision, and passion for the game.

We capture more than just moments, we tell stories. Every frame, angle, and broadcast is crafted to showcase the energy, emotion, and authenticity that make sport unforgettable. Whether it’s a local event, elite competition, or full-scale documentary, we bring the same dedication to quality and innovation.

Based in Melbourne’s western suburbs and working across Victoria, we’re trusted by athletes, teams, and organizations to deliver content that moves, inspires, and connects.

If it’s bold, fast, and full of life, that’s Controlled Chaos Studios.
